THE Wartime Leadership Podcast: The Resiliency of *** Agent Randy Lamar. Randy is retired military, having served in both the U.S. Army and Air Force, in addition to serving as a federal agent. The conflicts and the locations he was asked to serve, prepared him for the next phase of life. Randy is responsible for the safety and security for Gateway Fellowship and its 9 campus locations throughout the greater San Antonio, Texas megaplex. He validates security procedures, protocol and training for each location and the team members at each location. Randy has a huge heart for the broken, especially those suffering from PTSD and has driven him to serve as a lay-pastor for a faith-based recovery ministry. He uses his testimony and spiritual resilience to help others overcome their trauma and navigate closure to a personal relationship with God.
During this episode, I have an amazing conversation with a close friend. Randy and I discuss his definition of spiritual resilience and how his experiences cultivated the man he is today…healed. We discuss several key components that helped him refocus his mission and how helping others has become the greatest challenge he has undertaken. This conversation goes from hurt, pain and anger on and off the battlefield to healing, faith and testimony in the church pew.
